Enrichment
Overview
Mulberry School has several enrichment programs to enhance the student's learning experience. These programs include Art, Spanish, Physical Education, numerous educational and cultural exploration field trips, along with school-wide cultural celebrations (e.g., Autumn celebration, Friendship Feast, Cultural Diversity celebration). During these school-wide celebrations, all Mulberry families are encouraged to share their cultural and ethnic experiences. These unique opportunities allow Mulberry students to learn and embrace different customs and culture.
Art
Mulberry School's Art program is taught by an amazing art instructor named Bonnie Bernardi. Ms. Bonnie joined the Mulberry team four years ago, after teaching art in the public schools for more than 20 years. While introducing different movements of art history, Ms. Bonnie inspires each student to explore his/her creative potential. Through her efforts, even a four year old attending Mulberry will recognize the artwork of Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, and Jackson Pollock.
Spanish
Mulberry's Spanish language program is made possible through our partnership with the Illinois State University College of Education. Through this program, children attending Mulberry learn basic Spanish language skills.
